Kartik Aaryan Opens Up About Workaholism and Burnout in the Spotlight
The Actor Reflects on the Pressure of Constant Success and the Need for Personal Time

In a candid interview with the Indian Express, actor Kartik Aaryan revealed his struggles with burnout and the relentless pace of his career. He described himself as a workaholic, admitting, “I am a bit burnt out with this,” and shared his feelings about the unending race he finds himself in, stating, “I am in a race with no finish line.”
Kartik reflected on his journey, reminiscing about his early days in the industry when he was focused solely on landing his first film, Pyaar Ka Punchnama. He recounted how the initial thrill was overshadowed by a relentless pursuit of success. “The first film released, then the second film didn’t work, and then Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety revived my career, almost like a re-launch,” he explained. The cycle of success and failure left little room for self-reflection. “Even today, I haven’t gotten the chance to relax and think about how far I’ve come,” he noted.
Kartik expressed regret over not fully enjoying his initial breaks. “I don’t think I am able to give myself that personal time because I am always thinking about work,” he said, acknowledging the toll this mindset has taken on his well-being. “I think I need time for myself too. I’ve been in that space for the longest time.”
Despite the challenges, he acknowledged the joy of being recognized by fans. He reminisced about the excitement of someone asking for a selfie, highlighting how such moments are not just vanity but part of his professional life. “This is also work for me,” he emphasized, showing a complex relationship with fame and recognition.
