Kareena Kapoor’s Sensational Performance in ‘Jaane Jaan’ Title Song Release Draws Celebrity Attention

The entire version of the title song, Jaane Jaan, from director Sujoy Ghosh’s upcoming movie of the same name has finally been released. Lead singer Kareena Kapoor performs the famous song in the single while Uditi Singh, wearing a tiny golden outfit, pole dances in the backdrop. One of the patrons at the pub who is watching Kareena perform live is observed to be Vijay Varma.

The song also features movie imagery. Jaane Jaan, originally written by Rajendra Krishan and composed by Laxmikant-Pyarelal, has been reworked by Sachin-Jigar and performed by them and Neha Kakkar. The dance piece was choreographed by Vijay Ganguly. Lata Mangeshkar sang the original song from the 1969 movie Intaquam, which starred Helen.

Sujoy Ghosh posted a teaser for the song on X on Sunday, “Our first song coming tomorrow… and whatta honor it was to have a Laxmikant-Pyarelal song in our film. Penned by Rajinder Krishan. These are the reasons I make films.”
He tweeted the complete song’s release on Monday, “Our title track for you… Suno. Batao (listen and tell us the response). #jaanejaan.”

Kareena plays a single mother who is the only suspect in a murder case in the murder mystery Jaane Jaan. Jaideep Ahlawat plays her neighbor, while Vijay Varma plays the detective who is looking into the case. On September 21, it premiered on Netflix and is Kareena’s first OTT release. The Kalimpong-based movie is an authorised translation of the Japanese novel Devotion of Suspect X by Keigo Higashino.
