Kamal Haasan Set to Shine in Triple Roles in Mani Ratnam’s “Thug Life”

Renowned actor Kamal Haasan is gearing up to showcase his versatility by portraying three distinct characters in the upcoming blockbuster “Thug Life,” directed by the legendary Mani Ratnam. This ambitious project has witnessed some casting adjustments due to Haasan’s political commitments, with Arun Vijay and Silambarasan stepping in for Dulquer Salman and Jayam Ravi, respectively.

Haasan’s decision to delve into politics has led to a shift in his focus, with his Lok Sabha campaign taking precedence over his film career. Consequently, the Serbian filming schedule for “Thug Life” has been postponed to accommodate Haasan’s schedule, highlighting his unavailability in recent times.

As a result of this delay, both Dulquer Salman and Jayam Ravi have withdrawn from the project, citing scheduling conflicts. However, there are speculations circulating that Silambarasan might fill Salman’s shoes, although no official confirmation has been made regarding his involvement.

Meanwhile, social media buzz suggests that Arun Vijay could step into Ravi’s role, marking another collaboration between the actor and director Mani Ratnam, known for their work in “Chekka Chivantha Vaanam.” Fans eagerly await the official announcement, with expectations running high for Tamil New Year’s Eve to bring news of Vijay and Silambarasan’s inclusion.

Joining Haasan in this cinematic extravaganza are Aishwarya Lekshmi, Nassar, Joju George, Pankaj Tripathi, Gautham Karthik, and Trisha, among others. Ravi K. Chandran has been entrusted with the cinematography, while the musical genius AR Rahman will compose the film’s score.

“Thug Life” promises to be an epic period drama, with Haasan’s triple roles and a stellar ensemble cast ensuring an unforgettable cinematic experience for audiences worldwide.
