Jr NTR’s Intense Transformation for Prashanth Neel’s Dragon Sets Fans Abuzz
The global superstar teams up with the blockbuster director of KGF and Salaar for a massive pan-India action spectacle, slated to release in June 2026.

Jr NTR, popularly known as the “Man of Masses,” is all set to raise the bar with his upcoming collaboration with Prashanth Neel, the director who redefined Indian mass cinema with KGF and Salaar. Their film, tentatively titled Dragon though still referred to as “NTRNeel,” is shaping up to be one of the biggest cinematic spectacles in recent years and has already locked its worldwide release date for June 25, 2026.
NTR officially joined the sets in April 2025, with schedules already completed in Kumta and upcoming shoots planned at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad. The film is backed by a powerhouse team, with Rukmini Vasanth likely stepping in as the female lead, while Malayalam stars Tovino Thomas and Biju Menon have been confirmed for crucial roles. Talks are also underway with Anil Kapoor for a key character. The technical crew features music composer Ravi Basrur and cinematographer Bhuvan Gowda, both known for their signature grand style.
A major highlight stirring fans’ excitement is Jr NTR’s incredible physical transformation for the role. The actor has been hitting the gym with unmatched intensity, sporting a lean, muscular look with sculpted abs. His trainer, Kumar Mannava, described this as “the hardest transformation yet,” and a recently surfaced shirtless workout video has taken social media by storm, amplifying the buzz around the film.
With Neel’s flair for mass storytelling and NTR’s powerhouse presence, Dragon is expected to be a cinematic extravaganza that will push the limits of pan-Indian action. The combination of scale, star power, and NTR’s dedication promises a film that could set new benchmarks in Indian cinema.
