John Cena Opens Up About the Awkwardness of Filming Sex Scenes
WWE Star Reveals Embarrassing Experiences on Set and at the Oscars

John Cena, known for his tough-guy persona in the WWE, recently opened up about the awkwardness of filming intimate scenes. In an interview with Shannon Sharpe on Club Shay Shay, Cena admitted that the experience is far from glamorous.
“There are so many people involved in making a movie,” Cena explained. “There’s nothing intimate about it. It’s really embarrassing.” The actor recalled a particularly challenging sex scene in the 2015 comedy Trainwreck, where he was asked to “have the most awkward sex you possibly can.”
While Cena found filming sex scenes uncomfortable, he revealed that his most embarrassing moment came at the Oscars. The Peacemaker star was asked to participate in a comedic bit that involved appearing nearly naked in front of Hollywood’s elite. “I got all the people behind the camera, but then I walk out in front of a room of my peers,” Cena said. “It’s tough.”
Cena shared details of the call with host Jimmy Kimmel, who convinced him to do the bit. “Jimmy Kimmel called me personally and was like, ‘I need you to come to the Oscars,'” Cena recalled. “And he’s like, ‘Just let me send you the bit.’ And he sent it on paper and I called him back, like, ‘When do you need me there?'”
The actor revealed that he was initially expecting to be more exposed but was surprised by the level of censorship. “I expected full dick and nuts, but it’s Disney, so they put tape on my buttcrack and stuff,” Cena said. “That was even more embarrassing. Going out there with a taped butthole? It’s tough.”
