John Abraham Stands By ‘Vedaa’ Despite Box Office Failure
Actor Defends Film’s Message and Performance

John Abraham, who recently starred in the critically acclaimed but commercially underperforming film ‘Vedaa,’ remains steadfast in his belief in the project. Despite facing a tough box office battle against ‘Stree 2’ and ‘Khel Khel Mein,’ Abraham insists that the film’s message is more important than its commercial success.
In an interview with Radio City, Abraham described ‘Vedaa’ as a “brave” film that he undertook to reunite with filmmaker Nikkhil Advani after their successful collaboration on ‘Batla House.’ He emphasized that the film’s heavy subject matter was treated in an entertaining way, but ultimately, the audience’s interest in such topics is a personal choice.
While acknowledging the disappointment of a film’s underperformance, Abraham expressed pride in the team’s efforts. He praised the cast’s performances and the technical aspects of the film, including cinematography and action. While acknowledging potential critiques of the screenplay, Abraham maintained that he is satisfied with the final product.
Despite the commercial setbacks of ‘Vedaa’ and previous films like ‘Attack: Part 1’ and ‘Ek Villain Returns,’ Abraham remains committed to pursuing commercially successful projects. His upcoming films, ‘The Diplomat,’ ‘Tehran,’ and ‘Tariq,’ are expected to showcase his versatility and appeal to a wider audience.
