Jaideep Sen’s Heart Transplant Crisis: Urgent Surgery and Financial Struggles

The actor-director, known for Gum Hai Kisi Ke Pyaar Mein and Krazzy 4, launches a crowdfunding campaign to fund his life-saving surgery

Actor and director Jaideep Sen, known for his roles in “Gum Hai Kisi Ke Pyaar Mein” and “Krazzy 4,” is facing a serious health crisis. Sen revealed in an interview with Hindustan Times that he urgently needs a heart transplant after narrowly escaping death earlier this year.

Sen disclosed that financial constraints have prevented him from undergoing the necessary surgery. “I was hospitalized twice this year, in February and May. I came close to dying during my second hospitalization and had to be put on a ventilator for three days,” Sen shared. “My cardiologist has said that a heart transplant is my only option.”

To cover the high cost of the surgery, Sen has launched a crowdfunding campaign. “I am currently number one on the recipient list in Mumbai, but the surgery costs ₹35 lakhs, with an additional ₹15 lakhs needed for contingencies. The hospital requires the full ₹35 lakhs to be deposited before confirming the surgery,” he explained. “My savings are nowhere near enough. In our industry, unless you become a big name, you’re always underpaid.”

Sen expressed his gratitude to the film industry for their support. “Almost everyone in the industry has learned about my situation, and some have contributed as they can. You can’t ask for a specific amount; it’s about their generosity. I am deeply grateful for whatever help comes from their hearts,” he said.
