Jaideep Ahlawat’s Dance Moves in ‘Jewel Thief’ Surprise Fans

Known for intense roles, Ahlawat’s unexpected performance in the song ‘Jaadu’ from the upcoming Netflix film ‘Jewel Thief’ has garnered widespread attention and praise.

In the upcoming Netflix heist thriller Jewel Thief: The Heist Begins, actor Jaideep Ahlawat, renowned for his intense performances, has taken fans by surprise with his dance moves in the song “Jaadu.” The track, released on April 9, showcases Ahlawat’s unexpected flair for dance, leading to a flurry of reactions on social media.​

Responding to the buzz, Ahlawat shared during the film’s trailer launch on April 14, “I don’t know why people are so surprised to see me dance. I’m from Haryana and have danced a lot since childhood in many ‘ghudchadis.’ So, dancing is okay.” ​

Co-star Saif Ali Khan also commented on the reactions, reportedly saying, “Why are people surprised that someone can dance?” This sentiment was echoed during the event, where media requests led Ahlawat to recreate his dance steps live, much to the audience’s delight.

Actress Nikita Dutta, present at the launch, recalled the enthusiasm on set whenever Ahlawat danced, noting that his performances would draw an audience, breaking the usual routine where actors rest during others’ dance sequences.​

Jewel Thief: The Heist Begins, directed by Kookie Gulati and Robbie Grewal and produced by Siddharth Anand, features a star-studded cast including Saif Ali Khan, Nikita Dutta, and Kunal Kapoor. The film is set to premiere on Netflix on April 25, 2025.
