The musician-turned-actor opens up about launching Deepika, his upcoming film, and the ‘Animal’ comparisons.

Himesh Reshammiya recently sat down with Pinkvilla for an exclusive interview, shedding light on his career milestones and latest projects. He reflected on introducing Deepika Padukone in his 2006 music video Naam Hai Tera, long before her Bollywood debut. Calling her a “star from day one,” Reshammiya noted that while he has launched several talents, none have reached the stardom that Deepika has today.

The interview also covered his much-talked-about film Badass Ravi Kumar, with Reshammiya addressing comparisons between his character’s retro look and Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal. He acknowledged the similarities in appearance but dismissed any concerns, stating that being compared to a successful project is not a bad thing.

In another segment, actress Kirti Kulhari spoke about working with Reshammiya in Badass Ravi Kumar, revealing that he had a firm vision for the film. She recalled suggesting dialogue changes, but Reshammiya maintained a “take it or leave it” stance, emphasizing his creative clarity. Despite the rigid approach, Kulhari respected his dedication. With Badass Ravi Kumar generating buzz and Reshammiya’s industry insights making headlines, his latest interview highlights his unwavering confidence and belief in his artistic choices.
