HBO’s The Penguin adds Cristin Milioti to its cast

The HBO Max limited series “The Penguin” will star Colin Farrell and actor Cristin Milioti. The series is a spinoff of Matt Reeves’ “The Batman,” in which Farell portrayed The Penguin, a DC Comics villain named Oswald “Oz” Cobblepot. It will broaden the universe that Reeves established for the smash film from Warner Bros.
Milioti will play Sofia Falcone, the off-screen daughter of “The Batman” mobster Carmine Falcone, who was portrayed by actor John Turturro, on the entertainment news website Variety.

The series, which will broaden the universe Reeves built with The Batman, will be written by and overseen by Lauren LeFranc. Alongside Reeves, Dylan Clark, and Farrell, LeFranc will also serve as executive producer. Millioti is best known for her roles in the television series “Black Mirror,” “Modern Love,” and the feature film “Palm Springs.” She also had a role in “Made for Love,” an HBO Max series.
