‘Game of Thrones’ To Release New Mobile RPG Game ‘Legends’

A puzzle-based role-playing game called ‘Game of Thrones: Legends’ has been announced for next year, which will allow players to transport back to Westeros.

Players will take on the role of a Westeros commander in the Zynga Inc. game, developing their tactics and ability as they carefully construct a squad of champions, acquire weapons and gear, and battle tough opponents from the Game of Thrones universe.

The game will have hero characters from HBO’s Emmy-winning fantasy drama television series along with characters from its prequel series, ‘House of the Dragon.’

The Hollywood Reporter reported that the executive vice president Mobile Games, Zynga, Yaron Leyvand, said,

“We’re excited to create an RPG puzzle experience that amplifies the mechanics of skilled play and adds in champion management with the magnificent setting, characters and lore of the Game of Thrones universe from both series. Game of Thrones: Legends will bring your favorite Westeros characters, events and locations to life to create an immersive strategy experience players and fans around the world can enjoy.”

Players will be tasked to construct and enhance a squad of champions like Jon Snow, Rhaenyra Targaryen, and Arya Stark, and then compete in puzzle battles to conquer various game modes on missions across Westeros. In 2019, Zynga released the slots game adventure Game of Thrones Slots Casino.

‘Game of Thrones: Legends’ will be the first officially confirmed new game since 2020.
