Fahadh Faasil’s Schedule Delays Pushpa 2: The Rule Release
Antagonist’s Scheduling Conflicts and Disappointment with Director Sukumar Cause Major Production Setbacks

Fahadh Faasil, celebrated as one of Indian cinema’s finest actors, is slated to play the lead antagonist in the highly anticipated film, Pushpa 2: The Rule. Initially scheduled for an August release, the film’s premiere has now been postponed to December. Insiders reveal that Fahadh’s scheduling conflicts significantly contributed to this delay.
Faasil, who made a notable entry during the pre-climax of Pushpa: The Rise, is set for a more extensive role in the sequel. He had dedicated January and February for shooting Pushpa 2. However, director Sukumar’s change in plans resulted in these dates being wasted, leading to Faasil’s disappointment. Given his busy schedule with back-to-back projects, reallocating dates for Pushpa 2 became challenging for the actor.

Despite repeated attempts by the production team, Fahadh was unable to provide new dates promptly, causing significant delays in the shoot. Fahadh’s public comments also reflected his dissatisfaction, stating that Pushpa: The Rise did not benefit him as an actor. These remarks and alleged ego clashes further strained his availability for the film.
The delay in production is expected to cost the makers over Rs 40 crores. Pushpa 2: The Rule, featuring Allu Arjun and Rashmika in lead roles, is now set for a December 6 release.
