Explosive Bollywood Duo Tabu and Vishal Bhardwaj Return in Neo-Noir Spy Thriller ‘Khufiya’ on Netflix India,

On October 5, Netflix India will broadcast their newest movie, a spy thriller titled Khufiya. One of the most explosive pairings in Hindi film is Tabu and Vishal Bhardwaj will be seen together in this suspense thriller on Netflix.

On Thursday, Netflix India posted a creative Instagram promo announcing the release date of the spy thriller. In the scene, Tabu’s spy character from the movie asks her coworker to enlarge the CCTV image of what appears to be a covert camera. We witness a ‘khufiya’ character use a fax machine to convey a covert message. The fax paper shows the movie’s release date, October 5, as we zoom in.

With the advertisement, Netflix India’s caption said:
“Kuch raaz, raaz hi rahe to behtar hai (Some secrets are better kept as secrets). But not this one (eyes emoji).”

The spy novel Escape to Nowhere by Amar Bhushan served as the inspiration for the neo-noir spy thriller. Ashish Vidyarthi, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Ali Fazal are also featured. Out of these, Wamiqa has already worked with Vishal on two short films: Fursat from earlier this year, which stars Ishaan Khatter, and Modern Love Mumbai from the Prime Video India anthology from last year.

The first time Tabu and Vishal worked together on screen was in the 2003 mafia movie Maqbool, in which Tabu played alongside Irrfan Khan. They worked together once more on the 2014 criminal drama Haider, in which Tabu portrayed the mother of Shahid Kapoor’s Haider, who served as the film’s title character. These two movies were adaptations of two of William Shakespeare’s well-known plays, Macbeth and Hamlet.
