Excitement builds around Ponniyin Selvan

On September 30, “Ponniyin Selvan,” the crowning achievement of Mani Ratnam, will open in theatres. There are just 12 days left until the debut of the historical epic drama picture, and both moviegoers and readers of the novel are anxiously anticipating its arrival.
The proposal for the sequel, which would be part 2 of the movie, was discussed during a press conference held on September 17 in Chennai by filmmaker Mani Ratnam. The filmmaker allegedly promised to deliver the film’s second instalment in the following nine months when speaking to the media.

The Chola dynasty is the theme of the fictitious historical play Ponniyin Selvan 1. Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Trisha, and Aishwarya Rai play the key roles in the film. The movie will be released in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Hindi, and Kannada, among other languages.
