Eva Longoria Plays Herself (and Mabel!) in Hilarious New Season of “Only Murders in the Building”

Get ready for a season of meta-comedy and A-list thrills! Eva Longoria is spilling the tea on her role in the highly anticipated fourth season of “Only Murders in the Building.” The actress will be playing a double dose this time around – both herself and a fictionalized version of Selena Gomez’s character, Mabel Mora.

Longoria isn’t shy about admitting her excitement. “They told my friends I was the murderer and I had to be like, ‘Nope! But trust me, it’s the best character ever: me!'” she shared in a recent interview.

This season, the podcasting trio (played by Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez) heads west to Los Angeles as their true-crime podcast gets the Hollywood treatment – a movie adaptation! But while they navigate the glitz and glam, a new mystery unfolds back in New York with the death of Charles’ (Martin) stunt double.

Longoria will portray a version of herself playing Mabel in the film based on their podcast. Expect some laugh-out-loud moments! “The showrunner called me, said he and his husband were crying laughing in the edit room,” Longoria revealed.

If the star-studded cast isn’t enough to entice you, here’s another reason to tune in: Meryl Streep joins the roster alongside comedy heavyweights like Melissa McCarthy, Zach Galifianakis, and Eugene Levy. “To be on that set with Meryl Streep? Pinch me, I’m dreaming,” Longoria gushed.
