Emily Blunt Reflects on Most Stressful Movie Stunt, Surprises Fans with Unexpected Revelation

Actress Opens Up About Intense Filming Moment That Left Her Feeling Overwhelmed

Emily Blunt, renowned for her captivating performances, has disclosed the most nerve-racking stunt she’s ever undertaken in a film, a revelation that may astonish her admirers.

While her recent cinematic endeavor, “The Fall Guy,” thrives on adrenaline-pumping stunts, Blunt confessed to People magazine that her most anxiety-inducing moment occurred during the filming of the 2018 hit “Mary Poppins Returns.”

Recalling the scene of her character’s grand entrance, Blunt admitted, “That entrance was very stressful for me.” Her character’s descent from the clouds, clutching an umbrella, demanded an effortless portrayal despite its physical demands. “And I’m supposed to walk effortlessly into my close-up as if it’s nothing,” she added.

Despite her seasoned professionalism, Blunt confessed to reaching her limit after just three takes. “I did three takes — and then I felt my tolerance go, ‘Pfft!’ And that was it. I was done,” she shared, emphasizing her reluctance to proceed with further attempts.

Even though Blunt engages in a formidable fight scene in “The Fall Guy,” starring alongside Ryan Gosling, she surprised many by revealing that her most perilous experiences weren’t in the sci-fi action realm, such as “Edge of Tomorrow” with Tom Cruise.

Contrary to expectations, she clarified, “I did some wire stuff in Edge of Tomorrow, which was probably more dangerous because I took some spills.” Despite the risks, her performance in the 2014 film garnered her critical acclaim, including a Critics Choice Award for Best Actress in an Action Movie.

Reflecting on her cinematic journey, Blunt’s candid revelation offers a glimpse into the challenges and triumphs that lie behind the glitz and glamour of Hollywood.
