Disha Patani’s Sister Khushboo Rescues Abandoned Baby Girl in Bareilly, Wins Hearts Online

Former Army officer Khushboo Patani steps in to save a deserted infant near her Bareilly home—Disha Patani and Bollywood celebs applaud her heroic act.

In a remarkable display of courage and compassion, Khushboo Patani, a former Indian Army officer and sister of actress Disha Patani, rescued an abandoned baby girl in Bareilly and helped reunite her with her family. The incident came to light on Sunday when Khushboo shared a video of the rescue on Instagram.

The video shows Khushboo discovering the child in a dilapidated building near her residence. Clearly shaken by the sight, she condemned the act of abandonment and appealed for any information about the baby’s identity. In the footage, she can be heard saying, “If you are from Bareilly and this is your child, tell us how the parents left her here. Shame on such parents!”

Later, she shared follow-up clips from the hospital where the baby was being treated. In one touching moment, Khushboo is seen playing with the child, gently coaxing a smile out of her. Speaking to the girl, she says, “You are a very special girl. They tried to kill you, but you didn’t die.” Her caption read, “Insaan ka dil bhi kya hi hain? I will miss her. Police has found her parents. Thanks to instant police and medical support.”

While the police successfully traced the girl’s parents, it remains unclear whether they have been charged with abandonment.

The video quickly gained traction on social media, with many users—celebrities included—praising Khushboo’s actions. Disha Patani expressed her pride in the comments, while actress Bhumi Pednekar reacted with heart emojis, writing, “You really are the real hero. Bless you both.”

Khushboo Patani, who previously served in the Indian Army with the rank of Major, now works as a fitness coach, entrepreneur, and counsellor. Her social media presence continues to grow, with close to a million followers on Instagram.
