Disha Patani Embarks on Hollywood Journey with Kevin Spacey’s ‘Holiguards’
The supernatural action-thriller marks Patani’s international debut and Spacey’s return to directing after two decades.
Indian actress Disha Patani is set to make her Hollywood debut in Holiguards, a supernatural action-thriller directed by Oscar-winner Kevin Spacey. This film signifies Spacey’s return to the director’s chair after more than 20 years, his last being Beyond the Sea in 2004.
Holiguards features an ensemble cast, including Dolph Lundgren (Rocky IV, The Expendables), Tyrese Gibson (Fast & Furious series), Brianna Hildebrand (Deadpool), and Eric Roberts. The film is envisioned as the inaugural installment of a planned franchise titled Statiguards vs. Holiguards, promising high-stakes supernatural action.
Principal photography took place in Mexico, with key scenes shot in Durango. Behind-the-scenes photos of Patani alongside co-stars have surfaced online, generating buzz among fans. An industry insider noted that Patani’s scenes are “visually spectacular,” suggesting a significant role in the film’s narrative.
While Holiguards marks Patani’s official Hollywood debut, she previously appeared alongside Jackie Chan in the 2017 action-comedy Kung Fu Yoga. In addition to her international endeavors, Patani is preparing for the release of Welcome to the Jungle, the third installment of the popular Welcome franchise, slated for a 2025 theatrical release.
