Daniel Craig opens up about his James Bond exit

James Bond actor Daniel Craig stated that he needed to “move on.” Speaking about his decision to end his run as 007 15 years after the character was killed off in “No Time to Die,” he believes that his exit was essential for the success of the spy franchise as well as his acting career. “Two things, one for myself and one for the franchise,” Craig told the Los Angeles Times newspaper, reports aceshowbiz.com.

One was that the franchise reset and started over, which it did with me. “Well, you need to reset again,” I said. So let’s kill off my character and look for another Bond and a new plot. Start when you’re (23 years old), then 25, then 30. The other was so I could move on, the star of ‘Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery’ continued. I don’t wish to return. If they were to ask me back, I suppose I should consider myself lucky, but the reality is that I need to move on.
