Chris Hemsworth to Star in Apple’s Sci-Fi Thriller ‘The Corsair Code’

Wild State and Tropper Ink Team Up for High-Octane Adventure

Apple Original Films has landed a high-stakes bidding war to secure the rights to “The Corsair Code,” a thrilling sci-fi mystery set to star the mighty Chris Hemsworth. Based on a short story by Jonathan Tropper, the film will see Hemsworth and his producing partner Ben Grayson reunite under their Wild State banner.

Tropper, a prolific writer and producer with credits spanning film and television, will adapt his short story into a screenplay and executive produce alongside Hemsworth and Grayson. The duo is keeping plot details under wraps, but promises a high-octane adventure filled with unexpected twists.

With a packed slate including the upcoming “The Wrecking Crew” and a “Star Wars” film penned for Shawn Levy, Tropper is a hot commodity in Hollywood. Hemsworth, fresh off the box office failure “Furiosa,” continues to expand his production company Wild State with projects like “Limitless 2” and “Crime 101” in the pipeline.

Apple’s growing film division is also gaining momentum with a slate of high-profile projects including “The Instigators,” “Wolfs,” and the Formula One drama “F1.” As the tech giant continues to invest in original content, “The Corsair Code” is poised to be another major addition to their growing film library.
