Chhaava Set to Roar in Telugu: Vicky Kaushal’s Historical Epic Expands After Hindi Success

Following its massive box office triumph, Chhaava gears up for a Telugu release on March 7, bringing the story of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj to a wider audience.

The historical drama “Chhaava,” featuring Vicky Kaushal as Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, is slated for a Telugu release on March 7, 2025, following its remarkable success in Hindi-speaking regions. The film, which premiered on February 14, has garnered over ₹500 crore globally within 12 days, positioning it as the second highest-grossing historical epic in Hindi cinema, just behind Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s “Padmaavat.”

Responding to enthusiastic requests from fans for a Telugu version, Maddock Films announced the upcoming release on their Instagram account. The Telugu version will be distributed by Geetha Arts, a prominent production house in the Telugu film industry. Producer Allu Aravind is reportedly planning a grand promotional event to celebrate the film’s release in the Telugu market.

“Chhaava” has demonstrated exceptional box office performance, particularly in Maharashtra, where Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj is a revered figure. The film’s domestic earnings stand at ₹385 crore, with projections indicating it will surpass the ₹400 crore mark in India by its 14th day.

With its upcoming Telugu release, “Chhaava” aims to captivate a broader audience, sharing the inspiring story of India’s valiant son across linguistic boundaries.
