Chad Stahelski to direct Black Samurai for Netflix

The feature film version of the Black Samurai novel for Netflix will be directed by Chad Stahelski, who also worked on the Keanu Reeves-starring John Wick series. According to a press statement from the streaming site, novelist Leigh Dana Jackson will adapt the novel series written by well-known author Marc Olden.

 

Black Samurai centres on an American soldier serving in Japan who masters the most potent martial arts and goes on a journey to thwart evil forces that threaten all he values. Along with Jason Spitz and Alex Young for 87Eleven Entertainment and John Schoenfelder and Russell Ackerman for Addictive Pictures, Stahelski will also produce the project. Liza Fleissig, Andre Gaines, and Diane Crafford are the project’s executive producers. The fourth instalment of the John Wick series is presently being written by Stahelski. In March 2023, the movie John Wick: Chapter 4 will be made available globally.
