CBFC Grants UA Certification to Vicky Kaushal’s ‘Chhaava’ After Key Modifications

The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has awarded a UA certificate to the upcoming historical drama ‘Chhaava,’ starring Vicky Kaushal as Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. Directed by Laxman Utekar, the film underwent seven modifications and added three disclaimers to meet certification standards.
Significant changes include the removal of a controversial lezim dance sequence featuring characters Sambhaji and Yesubai, as well as the substitution of profane language to ensure appropriateness for a younger audience. The film’s duration is confirmed at 2 hours and 42 minutes.
