Brad Pitt’s Formula One Film Zooms to Summer 2025 Release

Apple and Warner Bros. Team Up for Major Theatrical Launch Including IMAX Screenings

Brad Pitt’s highly anticipated Formula One movie is set to premiere in North America on June 27, 2025, with IMAX screenings. This project reunites the talent behind Top Gun: Maverick, including director Joseph Kosinski and producer Jerry Bruckheimer. International audiences will get an early look starting June 25, 2025.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film was secured by Apple with a commitment to a significant theatrical release, ensuring a minimum 30-day window in cinemas. Apple has previously collaborated with other studios for wide releases, notably with Paramount for Killers of the Flower Moon and Sony for Napoleon.

Joining Pitt on screen are Damson Idris, Kerry Condon, Javier Bardem, Tobias Menzies, Sarah Niles, Kim Bodnia, and Samson Kayo. Pitt portrays a former driver making his return to Formula 1, teaming up with Idris’s character at the fictional team APXGP. The production involved collaboration with ten real Formula 1 teams, featuring scenes shot during actual races.

The film is produced by Kosinski alongside Bruckheimer and Chad Oman of Jerry Bruckheimer Films, Pitt, Dede Gardner, and Jeremy Kleiner for Plan B Entertainment, and Lewis Hamilton under his Dawn Apollo Films banner.
