Set for a Diwali 2025 release, ‘Thama’ introduces a vampire love story, expanding the supernatural franchise with a fresh pairing and a blend of horror, humor, and romance.

Maddock Films is set to expand its successful horror-comedy universe with ‘Thama’, featuring Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna in lead roles. Scheduled for a Diwali 2025 release, the film marks Khurrana’s debut in the horror-comedy genre and introduces a unique vampire love story to the franchise.
Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, known for ‘Munjya’, and produced by Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik, ‘Thama’ also stars Paresh Rawal and Nawazuddin Siddiqui. The narrative is set across two timelines: present-day Delhi and the historical Vijayanagara Empire, adding depth to the storyline.

Khurrana expressed his excitement about the project, stating, “It feels amazing to have a big Diwali release with ‘Thama’. It’s the biggest release of my career, and I’m eager to spread joy, happiness, and laughter with the entire country.”
‘Thama’ is anticipated to be a significant addition to Maddock’s horror-comedy universe, following the successes of ‘Stree’, ‘Bhediya’, and ‘Munjya’. With its unique blend of horror, comedy, and romance, the film aims to offer audiences a fresh cinematic experience this festive season.
