Athiya Shetty, daughter of veteran actor Suniel Shetty, has officially stepped away from her acting career to focus on her personal life. Despite receiving several film offers following her last movie, Motichoor Chaknachoor (2019), Athiya chose not to pursue them, expressing a desire to follow her heart rather than continue acting for the sake of it.

Athiya made her Bollywood debut in 2015 with the film Hero, and later appeared in movies like Mubarakan and Motichoor Chaknachoor. However, her filmography remained brief, and she gradually distanced herself from the film industry.

In January 2023, Athiya married Indian cricketer KL Rahul in an intimate ceremony. The couple welcomed their daughter, Evaarah, on March 24, 2025. Athiya has since embraced motherhood wholeheartedly, sharing glimpses of her life as a new mother on social media.
