Arjun Kapoor and Bhumi Pednekar to Star in Romantic Thriller “The Ladykiller” Directed by Ajay Bahl

Arjun Kapoor and Bhumi Pednekar are set to ignite the silver screen with their first-ever on-screen collaboration in the romantic thriller “The Ladykiller.” The film, directed by the renowned Ajay Bahl of Blurr fame, is scheduled to hit theaters on November 3, promising audiences a tale of love, mystery, and suspense.

In the teaser, Arjun Kapoor portrays an outsider who embarks on a journey to Uttarakhand and, in a twist of fate, falls head over heels in love with a mysterious woman played by Bhumi Pednekar. However, as the story unfolds, Arjun’s character begins to suspect that something is amiss, intensifying the sexual tension between the two protagonists.

Unlike his character in “Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar” by Dibakar Banerjee, Arjun’s role in “The Ladykiller” takes him to an old mansion in Uttarakhand, where he encounters Bhumi’s enigmatic character. Their passionate kiss sets the stage for a riveting and unpredictable romance, reminiscent of Arjun’s 2012 debut action romance film, directed by Habib Faisal.

“The Ladykiller” is described as the story of a small-town “playboy” who falls head over heels for a “self-destructive beauty” in a whirlwind romance. Directed by Ajay Bahl, the film is produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series.

Prior to “The Ladykiller,” Arjun Kapoor featured in the criminal thriller “Kuttey,” directed by Aasman Bhardwaj earlier this year. On the other hand, Bhumi Pednekar was most recently seen in the sex comedy “Thank You For Coming,” directed by Karan Boolani. Fans can also look forward to her reuniting with Arjun in “Bhakshak” and “Meri Patni Ka Remake” following their collaboration in “The Ladykiller.”

Meanwhile, Bhumi Pednekar is currently serving as the brand ambassador for the Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival’s Dimensions segment, running through November 5. On the festival’s third day, she conducted a workshop at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) alongside Priyanka Chopra, the chairperson of MAMI.
