Apple TV+ Renews The Morning Show for Season 5 Ahead of Season 4 Premiere
Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon’s hit drama returns with new faces, bold storylines, and another season already confirmed.

Apple TV+ has renewed The Morning Show for a fifth season, just one day before the premiere of its much-anticipated fourth season. The early greenlight ensures that the award-winning newsroom drama, fronted by Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon, will continue its run well into the future.
The fourth season premieres globally on September 17, 2025, set two years after the events of Season 3. Following the merger between fictional networks UBA and NBN, the newsroom faces new pressures and blurred lines between truth and deception. Tackling issues like deepfakes, conspiracy theories, and corporate cover-ups, the season explores how media navigates trust in a polarized America.
Aniston and Witherspoon return alongside Billy Crudup, Mark Duplass, Nestor Carbonell, Karen Pittman, Greta Lee, Nicole Beharie, and Jon Hamm. Season 4 also introduces Aaron Pierre, William Jackson Harper, Boyd Holbrook, Marion Cotillard, and Jeremy Irons to the ensemble cast.
The series is helmed by showrunner Charlotte Stoudt with Mimi Leder directing. Production is backed by Media Res, with executive producers including Aniston, Witherspoon, Stoudt, Leder, Michael Ellenberg, Lindsey Springer, Kristin Hahn, Zander Lehmann, and Micah Schraft.
Apple executives praised the series for resonating with global audiences and delivering provocative, addictive storytelling since its debut as one of the platform’s flagship shows. Media Res CEO Michael Ellenberg also expressed excitement about the renewal, crediting the cast, creative team, and devoted fan base for the show’s continued success.
With Season 4 poised to deliver intense new storylines and an expanded cast, and Season 5 already confirmed, The Morning Show remains one of Apple TV+’s biggest marquee dramas.
