Cricket Star Praises Wife’s Support and Announces Retirement from T20 Internationals

Virat Kohli shared a heartfelt message of gratitude for his wife, Anushka Sharma, on Instagram, recognizing her unwavering support just a day after Team India’s T20 World Cup triumph. Kohli’s post emphasized Anushka’s role in his success, stating, “None of this would remotely be possible without you, my love. You keep me humble, grounded, and always say it how it is with absolute honesty. I couldn’t be more grateful for you. This victory is as much yours as it’s mine. Thank you, and I love you for being YOU @anushkasharma.”

Anushka Sharma also expressed her admiration for Kohli following India’s second T20 World Cup win since 2007, calling him “my home” in her own touching post.

In the final against South Africa on Saturday, Kohli, a member of the 2011 ODI World Cup-winning team, scored his first fifty of the tournament with a 76 off 59 balls, including six fours and two sixes, leading India to a total of 176 for seven. After guiding the Men in Blue to their second T20 World Cup victory and earning the Player of the Match title in Bridgetown, Barbados, Kohli announced his retirement from T20 Internationals.
