Ananya Panday Rejects ‘Situationship’ Trend, Criticizes Social Media Pseudo-Relationships

Ananya Panday and Aditya Roy Kapur have reportedly been romantically linked since last year. However, during Aditya’s recent appearance on Karan Johar’s talk show, “Koffee With Karan” Season 8, he revealed being in a ‘situationship.’ In response, Ananya expressed her disapproval of this modern dating concept, emphasizing the inappropriateness of pretending to be in a relationship solely for social media.

In an interview with India Today, Ananya Panday stated, “I hate situationships. I don’t like that term at all. Also, I’m not on a dating app, nor do I discuss my relationships on social media. I’m not someone who will feign a different relationship status just for the sake of online appearances.”

During the Koffee With Karan conversation, Karan Johar asked Aditya directly about the rumored relationship with Ananya Panday. Aditya responded, “You see, Karan, you said on your show – ask me no secrets, and I’ll tell you no lies.” Karan further teased, “But she said that she is very Ananya Coy Kapur.” To this, Aditya humorously replied, “And I am Aditya Joy Kapur, as of now.” Karan playfully suggested, “So you mean you are joyously in a situationship?” Aditya responded, “Yes, I am quite joyous.” When asked about the first word that comes to his mind when thinking about Ananya, Aditya shared, “Pure joy, bliss.”
