Amy Pascal and David Heyman Appointed as New James Bond Producers
Veteran Producers Take Helm of Iconic Franchise Following Broccoli Family’s Departure

Amazon MGM Studios has officially announced that seasoned producers Amy Pascal and David Heyman will produce the forthcoming James Bond film. This marks a significant transition, as it’s the first time in over six decades that the franchise will be led by producers outside the Broccoli family.
Pascal, known for her instrumental role in Sony’s Spider-Man franchise, and Heyman, the producer behind the Harry Potter series, bring a wealth of experience to the table. Their appointment follows Amazon MGM’s acquisition of creative control from longtime Bond producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson, who have overseen the series since the 1960s.

Courtenay Valenti, head of film at Amazon MGM Studios, emphasized the studio’s commitment to honoring the legacy of James Bond, stating, “We are approaching every creative decision with James Bond, which Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson have so masterfully steered, with the greatest sense of responsibility.”
In a joint statement, Pascal and Heyman expressed their enthusiasm: “James Bond is one of the most iconic characters in the history of cinema. We are humbled to follow in the footsteps of Barbara Broccoli and Michael Wilson, who made so many extraordinary films, and honored and excited to keep the spirit of Bond very much alive as he embarks on his next adventure.”
The transition comes after Amazon’s $8.45 billion acquisition of MGM in 2022, aiming to revitalize the Bond franchise and explore new creative directions.
As the search for the next James Bond actor continues, fans eagerly anticipate how Pascal and Heyman will shape the future of the beloved spy series.
