Actress Ameesha Patel has shared her optimism about the much-talked-about sequel Humraaz 2, stating that the lasting impact of the original film continues to work strongly in its favour. In a recent interaction with the media, the Gadar star said that the recall value of Humraaz remains intact even after more than two decades, automatically generating curiosity and excitement among moviegoers for the sequel.

Ameesha pointed out that the love audiences have for the original film gives Humraaz 2 a solid starting point. According to her, the sequel already carries weight simply because the story, music, and suspense of the first film are still remembered fondly. She added that while the actors are confident about the project, the producers are especially enthusiastic, as Humraaz has the potential to grow into a strong franchise thanks to its popularity.

Released in July 2002, Humraaz was directed by the thriller specialists Abbas–Mustan and starred Bobby Deol, Akshaye Khanna, and Ameesha Patel in lead roles. The romantic suspense thriller stood out for its twists and stylish storytelling and marked Bobby Deol’s third collaboration with the director duo.
