Allu Arjun and Atlee’s ₹800-Crore Spectacle Gears Up for Abu Dhabi Shoot

Deepika Padukone joins the star-studded cast as the makers eye a 2027 global release

Icon Star Allu Arjun and blockbuster filmmaker Atlee are teaming up for what is shaping up to be one of the most ambitious Indian films ever made. Backed by Sun Pictures, the untitled project—currently referred to as AA22xA6—is being mounted on a staggering budget of ₹600–800 crore, with plans for an international release.

The production recently wrapped up a 50-day Mumbai schedule, which featured pivotal sequences and brought in stars like Mrunal Thakur and Ramya Krishnan. The next and most crucial phase begins in October in Abu Dhabi, where high-octane action scenes and key narrative sequences will be shot, including portions in the Liwa desert.

Adding to the buzz, Deepika Padukone is confirmed to join the shoot during this schedule, while reports suggest that Rashmika Mandanna and Janhvi Kapoor will also come on board. Allu Arjun himself is expected to take a short break to fly to the USA and personally oversee the film’s cutting-edge VFX work, a major component of its sci-fi narrative.

Atlee, known for hits like Jawan and Mersal, is reportedly crafting a story that will see Allu Arjun in dual roles, with themes exploring alternate realities and parallel universes. To match the vision, the film has enlisted several Hollywood technicians alongside leading Indian talents, ensuring world-class action and spectacle.

With multiple schedules lined up through 2026, the film is expected to wrap production by late next year. The grand release is locked for 2027, setting the stage for a pan-global launch that could redefine the scale of Indian cinema.
