Actress Alia Bhatt has taken to social media to raise awareness for her upcoming crime series, “Poacher,” shedding light on the grim realities of wildlife crime. In a recent Instagram post, Bhatt shared a video from a forest setting, where she portrayed a character investigating a poaching case.

In the video, Bhatt’s character stumbles upon evidence of the crime, including bullet casings, a loaded weapon, and the tragic outline of an elephant’s lifeless body. Speaking passionately in Hindi, she laments the loss of life, particularly highlighting the murder of a young boy named Ashok.

Expressing her deep connection to the project, Bhatt emphasized the importance of addressing wildlife crime, stating, “Murder is murder, regardless of who the victim is.” She expressed gratitude towards the series’ director, Richie Mehta, and the talented cast for bringing attention to such crucial issues.

“Poacher” aims to showcase the efforts of various individuals, including Indian Forest Service officers, NGO workers, and law enforcement, who risk their lives to combat wildlife crime.
