Akshay Kumar’s ‘Sarfira’ Debuts First Song ‘Maar Udi’

The first song from Akshay Kumar’s eagerly anticipated film, “Sarfira,” a remake of the hit “Soorarai Pottru,” has been released. Titled “Maar Udi,” the song was shared by Akshay on Monday via X (formerly known as Twitter).

The music video opens with Akshay’s character facing rejection at a science fair, despite his fervent protests. Over the scene, a voiceover of Paresh Rawal declares, “This business of aviation isn’t everyone’s cup of tea.” The narrative then shifts to a flashback where Akshay, alongside a large crowd, engages in a spirited protest.

Throughout the song, Akshay’s character is depicted working tirelessly to achieve his lofty goal. Scenes of him in front of a Deccan Airline aircraft highlight his relentless pursuit. The video captures his extensive travels, battles, and persistent efforts, showcasing his unwavering dedication to his team and mission.

In an FM radio interview clip included in the video, Akshay’s character passionately states, “I want to break the caste barrier for the common people, not just the coast barrier.” The song also features appearances by Paresh Rawal and Radhika Madan.

Accompanying the video, Akshay wrote a heartfelt caption: “Dil hai yeh bawra, ladne se kaha daraa (The heart is crazy, when has it ever been scared to fight)…” He added, “When life throws a challenge, just look it in the eye and #MaarUdi! Song out now. It’s time to be #Sarfira. See you in theatres. July 12.”

The “Sarfira” trailer presents Akshay as an underdog determined to shatter socioeconomic barriers and make aviation accessible to all.
