Akshay Kumar Vows to Overcome Box Office Slump with ‘Sky Force’
At the trailer launch of ‘Sky Force,’ the actor reflects on his career challenges and emphasizes relentless hard work.

During the trailer launch event for his upcoming film Sky Force on January 5, 2025, Akshay Kumar addressed concerns about his recent box office performances. The actor, whose career spans over three decades, acknowledged the downturn but reaffirmed his commitment to perseverance.
When questioned about his films’ underperformance in 2024, Kumar remarked, “It’s not that it has happened for the first time. The best part is you keep on working hard. That is what I tell myself. If anyone talks to me about it, I say the same thing—that you have to keep working hard.”
He further shared that throughout his career, he has encountered similar challenges and often receives advice to limit his projects to one or two films per year. However, Kumar believes in maintaining his work ethic, stating, “But I say if I can work, then why not? I have based my entire career on that.”

Addressing suggestions to take a break from filmmaking, Kumar expressed his desire to continue working across diverse genres. He mentioned his pride in creating films like Sarfira, despite their lack of commercial success.
Sky Force, co-directed by Sandeep Kewlani and Abhishek Anil Kapur, features Veer Pahariya in his acting debut, alongside Sara Ali Khan and Nimrat Kaur in pivotal roles. The film is produced by Jio Studios and Maddock Films and is scheduled for release on January 24, 2025, coinciding with Republic Day.
