Ajay Devgn’s Epic Tale “Azaad” Unleashes a Saga of Loyalty and Adventure

Set against the backdrop of pre-independence India, Azaad follows the thrilling journey of a family’s bond with their loyal horse, featuring Ajay Devgn and introducing Raveena Tandon’s daughter, Rasha Thadani.

The first look at Azaad, Ajay Devgn’s upcoming historical drama, has been unveiled, promising an action-packed adventure centered on family, loyalty, and an unbreakable bond with a trusted horse. Set in pre-independence India, the film showcases Devgn in the role of a skilled horseback rider who shares a deep connection with his loyal companion. But when their journey takes a perilous turn and the beloved horse goes missing, it becomes the mission of a young family member, played by Devgn’s nephew Aaman Devgan, to bring him back.

In the trailer, fans may find a nod to Devgn’s 2004 film, Tarzan: The Wonder Car, where his character, as a ghost, aids his son in a supernatural quest for justice. This time, however, Devgn’s character is very much alive, but it’s the powerful relationship between him and his horse that carries the story forward.

Directed by Abhishek Kapoor, known for his work on films like Kai Po Che, Kedarnath, and Rock On, Azaad promises to combine adventure with heartfelt drama. Produced by Ronnie Screwvala and Pragya Kapoor, this cinematic journey features an ensemble cast, including newcomer Rasha Thadani and Diana Penty. The film is set to release in January 2025.

In an Instagram post, Abhishek Kapoor shared the teaser with the line, “Har jung mein, har bahadur yodha ke saath, ek wafadaar ghoda zaroor raha hai,” giving a glimpse into the loyalty and courage that define this tale. Fans can expect an epic visual spectacle and an emotional rollercoaster as Azaad hits theaters early next year.
