Addinath Kathore audititoned for Bajirao Mastani ????

Actor Addinath Kothare had a succession of opportunities that didn’t pan out before making his Bollywood debut with Kabir Khan’s 2021 project, ’83. In a recent conversation, Kothare lists one opportunity that didn’t go well for him as Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s 2015 film Bajirao Mastani.

 

Actor Vaibhav Tatwawadi, a “close buddy” and fellow Marathi film industry professional, ultimately won the role of Chimaji Appa in the Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone-starring movie after the actor lost out on the audition. I and Vaibhav were the last two actors to audition for the role. Since I have always been a huge fan of Bhansali, working with him was something I was truly excited about. But Vaibhav was chosen for that position, and I was devastated (laughs). Yes, that was disappointing. It is the one movie from my whole career that I feel like I should have seen, according to Kothare.
