Ameesha Patel Turns Herself In At Ranchi Civil Court

Actress Ameesha Patel turned herself in to Ranchi Civil Court on Saturday in connection with a 2018 check bounce case while promoting her new movie Gadar 2. She was given conditional bail shortly after that, according to ANI.

Ameesha has been ordered to physically appear before the court on June 21, according to the news agency. She is currently preparing for Gadar 2, which also stars Sunny Deol, to mark her return to the silver screen. The movie picks off where Gadar left off, with Sunny playing Tara Singh and Ameesha playing Sakina, who was his love interest. The movie opens in theaters on August 11.

Ameesha met billionaire Ajay Kumar Singh in Ranchi in 2018 while she was there to attend a program at Harmu Ground, according to ANI, and they spoke about how to finance a movie. He made an investment in the movie endeavor and owns Lovely World Entertainment. He wanted a refund from Ameesha because the movie never even got released. She used a check to reimburse the 2.50 crore, but the check was returned as unpaid.

Ameesha made headlines in November 2021 for a comparable event when her check for 32.25 lakh to UTF Telefilms bounced. It was also revealed on Saturday that Gadar: Ek Prem Katha would have its digital debut in 4K with Dolby Atmos. The epic story of love, patriotism, bravery, and tribulations directed by Anil Sharma and starring Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel, Utkarsh Sharma, and the late actor Amrish Puri is now available for viewing in 4K resolution.
