Fausto’s next message is for Demetrio, worrying that he’ll be lost without him. Flashing back, we see Fausto rescuing Demetrio after he fell from a balcony, an accident that many, including Fausto, suspected was a suicide attempt. Determined to help, Fausto took him in and got him a job. At the time, Sarah, heavily pregnant, welcomed him into their home.

In the present, Demetrio believes Fausto is communicating through flickering lights and calls Mari for support. She jokes about decoding it with Morse code and reminds him he can’t afford to fall apart. The next day, Demetrio cancels Fausto’s phone plan and stumbles upon a message from one of Sarah’s friends about a playdate between her daughter, Serena, and Libero.

Meanwhile, the family gathers for Lucia’s birthday, but tension erupts when Valerio reads Libero’s harsh essay about them—especially his mention of Valerio’s past drug addiction. Sergio witnesses the meltdown, and Libero storms off. Demetrio follows and tells him about Serena’s visit, which instantly lifts Libero’s spirits.

Before meeting Serena, Libero asks Demetrio to pretend to be his dad. During the playdate, Demetrio bonds with Serena’s mom while encouraging Libero to confess his feelings. Surprisingly, Serena responds well.

A flashback reveals a chaotic moment in Fausto and Sarah’s past—Sarah, in a fit of paranoia, accuses Fausto of cheating after finding a woman’s shirt, only to later recall it was hers. She confesses to Demetrio about her mental health struggles and makes him promise not to tell Fausto.

In the present, Ercole finds a vibrator in Lucia’s room, leading to a comical but awkward family argument. A flashback solves the mystery—Fausto received it as a gift from a wealthy client after agreeing to a bizarre photoshoot.

That night, Demetrio sends Fausto’s message to the family, reminding them to cherish their happiest moments. As music plays, they dance, momentarily shedding their grief. Lucia even cancels her date with Sergio to stay with the kids. Meanwhile, Mari visits Demetrio, and he finally confesses his feelings for her. Elsewhere, Sarah tries to see her kids but is turned away by Valerio, deeply upsetting Libero.

This episode blends humor and heartbreak beautifully, with grief manifesting in different ways for each character. Demetrio’s struggle to fill Fausto’s shoes is particularly moving. Pretending to be Libero’s dad for a day gives him a glimpse into Fausto’s role, and while it helps Libero, it also helps Demetrio reconnect with life.

Valerio, on the other hand, continues to react emotionally, confronting Libero instead of understanding his pain. Sarah’s influence on her son is growing, setting up potential conflicts ahead.

Despite the sorrow, Fausto’s message brings everyone together, culminating in a touching dance scene that momentarily lifts the weight of their grief. With Sarah still lingering in the background and unresolved emotions surfacing, it’s clear that their struggles are far from over.
