Trailer dropped for Adam Sandler’s New Netflix Movie ‘You Are So Not Invited To My Bat Mitzvah’

Netflix released the official trailer of Adam Sandler’s latest movie, ‘You Are So Not Invited To My Bat Mitzvah.’

The upcoming American comedy-drama stars Sandler’s teenage daughters, Sunny and Sadie, along with Sandler playing their father onscreen.

Based on the namesake 2005 young adult novel by Fiona Rosenbloom, the plot follows best friends Stacy Friedman, played by Sunny Sandler, and Lydia Rodriguez Katz, played by Samantha Lorraine, who have always craved epic bat mitzvahs. However, situations get comically amiss when a popular boy and middle school drama menaces their friendship and their rite of passage.

The cast also includes Idina Menzel, Jackie Sandler, Dylan Hoffman, Sarah Sherman, Dan Bulla, Ido Mosseri, Jackie Hoffman, and Luis Guzmán.

The movie is directed by Sammi Cohen with a screenplay by Alison Peck and produced by Happy Madison and Alloy Entertainment.

The Hollywood Reporter reported that ‘You Are So Not Invited To My Bat Mitzvah’ marks to be the latest project in Adam Sandler’s current $250 million Netflix deal.

The American actor, comedian, singer, screenwriter, and producer has made eight titles for the streaming giant, including ‘The Ridiculous Six,’ ‘Sandy Wexler,’ and stand-up special ‘100% Fresh’ among others.

‘You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah’ is slated to premiere on Netflix on August 25, 2023.
