Ranveer Singh Sets the Stage for Dhurandhar: The Revenge With Explosive First Look and Teaser Announcement
Following the blockbuster success of Dhurandhar, Ranveer Singh and director Aditya Dhar officially kick off promotions for the sequel, promising a darker, more intense chapter ahead with a pan-India release in March 2026.

The Dhurandhar universe is expanding, and the excitement around its sequel is already at a fever pitch. After the massive box-office triumph of the first film, the makers have now officially begun promotions for Dhurandhar: The Revenge, signaling the return of one of Indian cinema’s most successful spy franchises.
On Tuesday morning, Ranveer Singh unveiled the first look poster of the sequel on social media, offering fans a powerful glimpse into his character Hamza, also known as Jaskirat. The poster shows Ranveer drenched in rain, fists clenched, staring straight into the camera with a fierce intensity. Bathed in striking red light, the visual hints at a far more aggressive and emotionally charged sequel, with the film’s title looming ominously in the background.
Sharing the poster, Ranveer captioned it with the line, “Ab Bigadne Ka Waqt Aa Gaya Hai,” clearly setting the tone for what lies ahead. He also confirmed that the teaser for Dhurandhar: The Revenge would drop the same day at 12:12 PM, instantly sending fans into a frenzy.
The actor further announced that the film is slated for a worldwide theatrical release on March 19, 2026, and will hit screens in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam, reinforcing the franchise’s strong pan-India ambitions. Notably, Ranveer shared the poster in all five languages, underlining the scale and reach the makers are aiming for.
Adding to the intrigue, Ranveer’s post subtly reignited discussions around Akshaye Khanna, who played the antagonist Rehman Dakait in the original Dhurandhar. Although the character was killed off in the first film’s climax, the mention has sparked speculation about flashbacks or unexpected narrative twists in the sequel.
Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar released on December 5 and went on to become a global blockbuster, with Ranveer portraying an Indian spy who infiltrates Karachi’s criminal underworld to dismantle its terror links. With Dhurandhar: The Revenge, the makers appear ready to raise the stakes even higher, promising bigger action, deeper conflicts, and a more ruthless world than before.
