Netflix Renews The Lincoln Lawyer for Season 5 Ahead of Season 4 Release

Manuel Garcia-Rulfo’s legal thriller continues its winning streak as the streamer confirms another season before the next chapter even premieres.

Fans of Netflix’s hit legal drama The Lincoln Lawyer have plenty to celebrate. The streaming giant has officially renewed the series for Season 5, even before the much-anticipated Season 4 premieres on February 5, 2026. The early greenlight reflects the show’s strong global viewership and its consistent performance among Netflix’s top-ranking drama series.

Season 4 will once again feature 10 episodes and is adapted from Michael Connelly’s novel “The Law of Innocence.” This season places defense attorney Mickey Haller, played by Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, in the most dangerous position of his career — fighting to prove his own innocence after being accused of murdering a former client. The investigation forces Mickey and his team to take on powerful institutions while confronting unresolved personal demons.

Returning cast members include Neve Campbell, Becki Newton, Jazz Raycole, and Angus Sampson, with Cobie Smulders and Constance Zimmer joining the ensemble in prominent new roles. According to co-showrunners Ted Humphrey and Dailyn Rodriguez, Season 4 is the most emotionally intense and personally challenging storyline the series has explored so far, making the renewal for another season even more exciting for the creative team.

Looking ahead, Season 5 will also consist of 10 episodes and will adapt Connelly’s novel “Resurrection Walk.” The storyline centers on a high-stakes appeal involving a woman convicted of killing her ex-husband, a sheriff’s deputy — a case that pushes Mickey into a morally complex and politically sensitive legal battle. In the book, this story also connects to the wider Connelly universe, adding deeper layers to the franchise’s mythology.

Behind the scenes, the series is created for television by David E. Kelley, with Humphrey and Rodriguez serving as co-showrunners and executive producers alongside Connelly and a seasoned producing team. The show is produced by A+E Studios and continues to be one of Netflix’s most reliable scripted successes.

So far, The Lincoln Lawyer has accumulated over 170 million views across its first three seasons and has spent more than 26 weeks on Netflix’s Global Top 10 charts, underlining its strong audience loyalty and binge-worthy appeal.

With Season 4 ready to drop and Season 5 already locked in, Mickey Haller’s courtroom battles are far from over — promising more twists, emotional stakes, and gripping legal drama for fans worldwide.
