Ranveer Singh Opens Up About His “Priceless” Chemistry with Deepika Padukone

From Ram-Leela to parenthood and new adventures, Ranveer reflects on what makes his bond with Deepika so natural, grounded, and emotionally resonant.

Ranveer Singh, who is currently gearing up for the release of his upcoming film Dhurandhar on December 5, recently spoke about the unique chemistry he shares with his wife and frequent co-star Deepika Padukone. In a candid conversation, the actor revealed how their connection — both on and off screen — has evolved over the years and continues to remain one of the most cherished aspects of his life.

Ranveer and Deepika first came together professionally in 2013 for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela, a cultural and box-office milestone that also marked the beginning of their off-screen bond. While the two never confirmed their relationship at the time, their growing closeness became evident during the film’s making. Since then, they’ve starred together in some of Bollywood’s biggest projects, including Bajirao Mastani, Padmaavat, 83, CirKus, and Singham Again.

The couple tied the knot in 2018 in Lake Como, Italy, and earlier this year welcomed their daughter, Dua, sharing her first picture on social media to the delight of their fans.

Reflecting on their on-screen partnership, Ranveer said, “I love working with Deepika. Our on-screen chemistry is so natural. There’s an authenticity there that’s priceless. That really resonates with the audience.”

He also spoke about how their real-life adventures influence their bond: “Indian travellers are emotionally driven. They want stories and experiences that make them feel something at a soul level. Ranveer revealed that Deepika had often admired the photos and videos from his solo travels and wished to experience those places firsthand. “So finally exploring the place with her has been special as a whole. There have been many special moments. The best part is we’ve only scratched the surface. There’s still so much more to do.”

Talking about how his energy shifts when they travel together, he added, “When it was just me, the vibe was playful and full-throttle hype mode. But with Deepika, there’s a grounding presence. She brings grace and poise that complements my energy. Together, we reflect two different traveller types and find interesting things to do in the city — as a couple.”
