War 2’s Romantic Anthem “Aavan Jaavan” Transports Viewers to Italy
The new song features Hrithik Roshan and Kiara Advani in a soulful melody shot against iconic Italian backdrops.

Yash Raj Films has dropped the first song from its upcoming action film, War 2, and it’s a departure from the movie’s high-octane theme. Titled “Aavan Jaavan,” the romantic track showcases the dreamy chemistry between stars Hrithik Roshan and Kiara Advani, with visuals captured across Italy’s most scenic locales.

Directed by Ayan Mukerji, the song was intentionally set in Italy to evoke a sense of a romantic journey. Mukerji described his vision as wanting to create a “beautiful travel energy song” where two people in love explore the world together. The production took the cast and crew from the serene countryside of Tuscany to the historic streets of Rome.

The director expressed pride in filming at some of Rome’s most famous landmarks, including the Colosseum, the Spanish Steps, and the Trevi Fountain. He noted that securing permission for these iconic spots was challenging, but “the stars really aligned” to make it happen. Mukerji also shared that the positive energy on set was palpable and that he hopes the “feel good song” translates into a similar experience for the audience.

Choreographer Bosco Martis praised the picturesque setting, saying, “Tuscany has really given us that glory. It’s given us this whole palette. It’s quite fantastic.”

For her part, Kiara Advani reflected on the idyllic shooting experience, stating, “We’ve had just the right mix of sunshine and that lovely wind coming in. I just feel like staying back here and just chilling, relaxing and swimming in these thermal pools. It’s just dreamy and beautiful.”

Produced by Aditya Chopra, War 2 is set to hit theaters worldwide on August 14, with releases in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil. The film’s first song offers a sweet, romantic interlude before the intense spy thriller unfolds on the big screen.
