Prabhas Lauds Hombale Films’ Vijay Kiragandur, Calls Him a Producer Driven by Pure Passion
After locking a 3-film deal, Prabhas praises Kiragandur’s unwavering commitment to quality, recalling a fire on the sets of KGF and how the producer remained calm under crisis.

Pan-India star Prabhas has nothing but admiration for Vijay Kiragandur, the visionary founder of Hombale Films—the powerhouse studio behind mega-hits like the KGF series, Kantara, and Salaar. The actor is currently collaborating with the production house under a massive three-film deal, and he’s been candid about why he trusts the banner so deeply.
Prabhas, known for his reserved nature, recently opened up about his experience working with Kiragandur. “He’s a man of real passion,” the actor said, recalling a striking incident from the early days of KGF.
“At the time, KGF was only the second film for director Prashanth Neel and his first with Hombale Films. During the shoot, a fire broke out on set, causing significant damage and financial loss. Naturally, everyone was shaken—but Vijay Kiragandur simply said, ‘Relax, don’t worry about the money. Just focus on getting the film right,’” Prabhas shared.

He went on to say that he had heard of similar gestures during the filming of Kantara as well, reinforcing Vijay’s commitment to quality over cost-cutting. “He never compromises on quality. He’s genuinely invested in the art of storytelling,” Prabhas added.
Currently, Prabhas is filming Raja Saab, slated for a December 2025 release. His next major project with Hombale Films will be Salaar 2, reuniting him with director Prashanth Neel. With such passion and professionalism driving their collaborations, fans can expect cinematic spectacles of the highest order.
