Jr NTR Wraps Up War 2 Shoot, Promises Fireworks in YRF’s Spy Universe!
As anticipation peaks for his Bollywood debut with Hrithik Roshan and Ayan Mukerji, Jr NTR confirms War 2 is ready for an explosive August 2025 release—while Dragon and a mythological epic await next.

Jr NTR, known for his dynamic performances and mass appeal, is officially Bollywood-bound—and he’s arriving in style. The Telugu superstar has wrapped filming for War 2, his highly anticipated Hindi debut, and dropped the update himself on Instagram, sending fans into a frenzy.
Taking to his Instagram story, Jr NTR wrote,
“And it’s a wrap for #War2! So much to take back from this one…It’s always a blast being on set with @hrithikroshan Sir. @ayanmukerji has been amazing. He has truly set the stage for a big surprise package for the audience. A big thanks to the entire @yrf team and all our crew for the love and effort. Can’t wait for all of you to experience this high on August 14th!”
With this, the actor has officially completed his part in War 2, which sees him entering Yash Raj Films’ expanding spy universe. Directed by Brahmāstra filmmaker Ayan Mukerji, the film features Jr NTR sharing screen space with Hrithik Roshan and Kiara Advani. The excitement around the project has only intensified since YRF began teasing its high-octane action and stylized visuals through posters and early promotional material.
The film is a direct sequel to War (2019), one of YRF’s biggest hits, and marks a crucial addition to their spy-verse alongside Pathaan, Tiger, and Ek Tha Tiger franchises. War 2 is slated for a massive worldwide release on August 14, 2025, just ahead of India’s Independence Day, signaling box office fireworks.
But War 2 isn’t the only mega project on Jr NTR’s slate. He’s also gearing up for Dragon, a pan-India spectacle directed by KGF helmer Prashanth Neel. Scheduled to hit theatres on June 25, 2026, Dragon is being mounted on a grand scale and is backed by Mythri Movie Makers and NTR Arts. The buzz around this project is already intense, with fans expecting an action-packed extravaganza.
And if that wasn’t enough, reports suggest Jr NTR is also in talks to headline a mythological drama with director Trivikram Srinivas. In this film, he is rumored to portray Lord Karthikeya (Murugan), adding yet another intriguing layer to his evolving filmography.
From fierce action to divine mythos, Jr NTR is diving into multiple genres with full force—and the industry is watching closely.
