Dhanashree Verma’s Family Denies ₹60 Crore Alimony Demand Amid Divorce Proceedings with Yuzvendra Chahal

Family and legal representatives refute claims of substantial alimony demand; divorce proceedings remain sub judice.

Recent reports suggesting that social media influencer Dhanashree Verma has demanded ₹60 crore in alimony from her estranged husband, cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal, have been firmly denied by Verma’s family and legal team.

In an official statement shared with the press, Verma’s family expressed their indignation over the circulating rumors. “We are deeply outraged by the baseless claims being circulated about the alimony figure. Let me be absolutely clear—no such amount has ever been asked, demanded, or even offered,” the statement read. The family emphasized the irresponsibility of publishing unverified information, urging media outlets to exercise restraint and respect the privacy of all parties involved.

Adding to the family’s denial, Dhanashree Verma’s lawyer, Aditi Mohan, addressed the media, clarifying the status of the divorce proceedings. “I have no comments to make on the proceedings; the matter is currently sub judice,” Mohan stated. She highlighted the prevalence of misleading information circulating online and urged media houses to fact-check before disseminating such reports.

Speculation about the couple’s marital discord intensified after reports claimed that their final divorce hearing occurred at the Bandra Family Court in Mumbai. These reports suggested that the couple, who married in December 2020, had been living separately for 18 months and cited “compatibility issues” as the reason for their separation. However, neither Chahal nor Verma has publicly confirmed these details.

Amid the swirling rumors, both Chahal and Verma have shared cryptic posts on their social media accounts. Verma’s post reflected on transitioning “From Stressed To Blessed,” emphasizing faith and resilience, while Chahal’s message expressed gratitude for divine protection during challenging times.

As the situation continues to develop, the involved parties request privacy and responsible reporting from the media.
