In an official statement shared with the press, Verma’s family expressed their indignation over the circulating rumors. “We are deeply outraged by the baseless claims being circulated about the alimony figure. Let me be absolutely clear—no such amount has ever been asked, demanded, or even offered,” the statement read. Adding to the family’s denial, Dhanashree Verma’s lawyer, Aditi Mohan, addressed the media, clarifying the status of the divorce proceedings. “I have no comments to make on the proceedings; the matter is currently sub judice,” Mohan stated. Speculation about the couple’s marital discord intensified after reports claimed that their final divorce hearing occurred at the Bandra Family Court in Mumbai.
