Salman Khan’s ‘Sikandar’ Set for Eid Release Amid Uncertainty Over Atlee Collaboration
While fans anticipate the Eid debut of ‘Sikandar’, Salman Khan’s ambitious project with director Atlee faces delays due to its extensive budget and scale.

Salman Khan is gearing up to captivate audiences with his upcoming film, ‘Sikandar’, directed by AR Murugadoss. Scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on March 28, 2025, coinciding with Eid al-Fitr, the film features Khan in a dual role, alongside Rashmika Mandanna and Kajal Aggarwal. The narrative promises high-octane action sequences, with reports indicating that sets worth ₹15 crore were constructed to depict Mumbai locales.
In addition to ‘Sikandar’, Khan had announced a collaboration with renowned director Atlee for a project tentatively titled ‘A6’. Envisioned as a period drama with elements of reincarnation, ‘A6’ was set to be a cinematic spectacle with a proposed budget of ₹500 crore. However, recent reports suggest that the project has been shelved due to its extensive financial requirements and the complexities involved in bringing such a grand vision to life.
Despite this setback, Khan’s slate remains packed with high-profile projects. Following ‘Sikandar’, he is set to appear in ‘Kick 2’, ‘Tiger vs. Pathaan’, and an untitled venture with Sooraj Barjatya. Fans continue to express excitement over these upcoming films, eagerly awaiting Khan’s return to the big screen.
