Allu Arjun Seeks Legal Relief in Pushpa 2 Stampede Case
Telangana High Court to Hear Actor’s Plea for Quashing Criminal Charges Following Theatre Tragedy

Telugu superstar Allu Arjun, the lead actor of the highly anticipated Pushpa 2, has approached the Telangana High Court seeking to quash a criminal case linked to a stampede at a Hyderabad theatre. The tragic incident, which occurred during the release of the film, led to the death of a woman, prompting legal scrutiny.
Justice Sridevi of the Telangana High Court noted that the actor’s plea, submitted as a lunch motion, would only be considered after 4 p.m. on Friday.
The lunch motion submission sparked contention earlier in the day, with the Public Prosecutor objecting to its timing. He pointed out that lunch motions are typically heard in the morning and emphasized that similar requests by other petitioners had been denied. Allowing an exception for Allu Arjun, he argued, would set an unfair precedent.
Agreeing with the Prosecutor’s position, Justice Sridevi initially deferred the matter. However, senior advocate S. Niranjan Reddy, representing Allu Arjun, urged the court to hear the case, assuring that substantial reasons for the request would be presented during the hearing. Subsequently, the court scheduled the motion for consideration later in the afternoon.
This development adds a legal dimension to the actor’s involvement in the tragedy, as fans and followers closely watch the unfolding case.
